Chris is a Managing Director at Close Brothers Asset Management and has been with the Group for 13 years. As Chief Executive of the High Net Worth business from 2000 to 2007 he founded the Division’s presence in this area. Chris has over 25 years experience investing on behalf of private individuals, charities, retail funds and small institutions.
Before Close Brothers, Chris was a director and Chief Investment Officer of Rea Brothers (Investment Management) Ltd and was part of the team that grew the investment business from £80m of assets under management to over £1bn in a 10 year period. Prior to this he ran Rea Brothers’ stockbroking business and managed its proprietary trading book.
Chris is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and has a postgraduate qualification in banking. He has featured twice in Spears list of most influential HNW wealth managers and been named in the Citywire Top 100 Wealth Managers. In 2013 he was named Top 5 Manager in Spears’ HNW Wealth Management Index.

As Managing Director for Close Brothers Asset Management, Mark is responsible for managing a range of multi asset, multi currency portfolios for institutional, charity and private clients both onshore and offshore.
Previously, he was a Divisional Director of Gerrard where he managed institutional and charity accounts.
Mark was a director of Global Asset Management and also managed global institutional funds at Credit Suisse First Boston and BNP Paribas. He began his career as a Research Analyst at Carnegie Fondkommission, Sweden.
Mark is a graduate of Oriel College, Oxford.

Andrew is an Investment Director at Close Brothers Asset Management. He has over 30 years investment experience and manages a diverse range of investment portfolios, including private clients, trusts, pension funds and SICAVs.
Prior to joining Close Brothers in 2008, Andrew spent 5 years with Singer and Friedlander Investment Management. Before that he spent 17 years with James Capel, which subsequently evolved into HSBC Investment Management. Whilst there he grew a broad client base and headed a team managing and developing business from the branch network. He began his career in the City in 1971 with Grieveson Grant and Co and began managing client portfolios in 1977.

Francis Clarke is Managing Director at Close Brothers Asset Management. He has over 25 years of investment experience.
From 2000 to 2006, Francis worked at Singer and Friedlander Investment Management. Before this he worked at Fleming Private Asset Management for 11 years where he was appointed Director in 1994, assuming responsibility for the International Client desk from 1996. Previously he worked for Cazenove and Co., where he spent five years as an analyst in the US department. In 1985 he transferred into fund management, specialising in charities and private clients.
Francis is a graduate in History from Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. He is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and holder of the Diploma.

Paul Clements is a Managing Director of Close Brothers Asset Management’s Northern office where, with his Manchester-based team, he provides a full range of asset management services in the North West and Yorkshire.
Paul began his career at Barclays Bank Trust Company Limited before moving to Henry Cooke Lumsden in Manchester. He held senior asset management posts in DJT Group and Rea Brothers prior to its acquisition by Close Brothers, and has headed up Close's Northern office since 1998.
Paul is a Member of the Securities Institute and a holder of its Diploma.

Tom graduated from Edinburgh University in 1990 and started his career with Singer and Friedlander Investment Management where he worked for over fifteen years.
He was appointed Director in 2002 and managed a broad spread of UK private clients and trust portfolios, SIPPs and charities.
He joined Close Brothers in July 2006 to do a very similar role. Tom is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Felix started his career as a trainee Private Client Fund Manager at Henderson Crosthwaite, then Carr Sheppards Crosthwaite, after graduating in Arab Studies from Exeter University.
After seven years he moved to Barclays Private Bank, and then to Singer and Friedlander Investment Management in October 2002.
Felix joined Close Brothers in July 2006, and is a Fellow of the Charted Institute for Securities and Investment and holder of its Diploma.

Adam has been with Close Brothers Asset Management for nearly ten years having been involved in the investment world for almost thirty years, managing money for institutions and private individuals across a broad spread of mandates.
He has also accumulated wide- ranging industry experience and previous firms for whom he has worked include Quilter, Capel Cure Myers (now Barclays Wealth ) as well as Invesco Private Portfolio Management and Fergusson Hall Stewart (now Investec) in South Africa.

Edward is a UK Multi Asset Class Portfolio Manager with over fifteen years of financial services experience. He looks after both onshore and offshore multi asset class portfolios for private clients, trusts and corporates.
He joined Close Brothers Asset Management in September 2013. Edward holds the Private Client Investment Advice & Management Certificate (Distinction) and the Investment Management Certificate. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2002, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Edward graduated from the University of Durham in 1998 with a Biological Sciences BSc.

Paul joined Close in June 2009 from Singer & Friedlander where he had worked for the previous 25 years, latterly heading Investment Management Operations at Singer & Friedlander, covering all aspects of Private Client Fund Administration in his career there. During his long career with Singer & Friedlander Paul worked closely with all members of the team.

Dan Gollance graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1999 with a degree in Economics and Spanish.
He started his career as a small cap broker at EFML before moving to Williams de Broe where he managed private client portfolios and worked on the Assetmaster range of funds.
Dan joined Close Brothers in 2005 and is currently responsible for a range of multi-asset mandates including the global equity Winchester Fund. He has passed various investment and financial planning exams and is a CFA charter holder.

John Marshall is Managing Director and has been managing money on behalf of Close Brothers clients and its predecessor organisations since 1997. His responsibilities include relative return and target return multi-asset mandates, both in the UK and offshore.
John joined Finsbury Asset Management in 1997, transferring within the Rea Brothers Group to the Investment Management Division the following year. After completing his post-graduate studies and prior to working in investment management, he worked in the computer research and development industry.
A graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge, John is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP) and a certified holder of the European Federation of Financial Analysts' Societies (EFFAS) Diploma.

Paul Roe is an Investment Director of Close Brothers Asset Management and is based in the Manchester office.
He is responsible for managing private client assets, SSASs and SIPPs on a discretionary basis. His career in private client services includes extensive experience in private client fund management working for Henry Cooke Lumsden from 1985.
He was recruited to specialise in pension fund management with actuarial practice DJT Group in 1991 and with this function moved to Rea Brothers in 1998 and Close Brothers in 1999.

Seton began his career in the City at Sheppards & Chase in 1983. He subsequently joined Robert Fleming in 1990 and HSBC Investment Management in 2000. As a Senior Director at HSBC, Seton managed a Team of Fund Managers. Having joined Psigma Investment Management as a Senior Investment Director in 2006, Seton moved to Close Brothers Asset Management as a Managing Director in 2014.

Doug McCance is an Investment Manager at Close Brothers Asset Management based in the Manchester office. Doug joined Close Brothers in September 2014 after starting his career in April 2007 at Brown Shipley.

Carla graduated from Warwick University in 2011 with a degree in Accounting and Finance. She previously worked at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, before joining Close Brothers in 2015. Amy is a senior investment director at Close Brothers. She sits on the Multi Asset Class (MAC) Committee and is a key member of the investment team deciding our house asset allocation and investment decisions.
Prior to joining Close, Amy was a founding partner of a private client discretionary investment management business which she ran for 10 years before selling her 45% share to her co-founder.
She is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Fellow of the Securities Institute and sits on the editorial panel for the Securities and Investment Review and the committee for the Wealth Management Forum.

Head of Equity Research
Robert is the Head of Research for Close Brothers Asset Management.
After a period working in industry, Robert joined Fleming Asset Management in 1992 as an equity analyst following the UK capital goods sector. He later moved to American Express Asset Management to become Head of Research in London, and then UBS Brinson as a global capital goods sector analyst. In 2000 Robert joined Alliance Capital as an industrials analyst, and later became Head of Research.
